During the EMO exhibition (Hannover, September 19th – 24th, 2011), Fagor Automation is going to present their latest advances in control and measurement systems showing a qualitative leap in the technology used to provide integral solutions to high-end machines.


Visitors to Fagor Automation booth (Hall 25, booth F09) will be able to see the following novelties:

8065 CNC: Friendly as always, more powerful than ever

This advanced and high performance CNC is ideally suited for metal cutting machine tools. The CNC 8065 is designed for machine tools demanding high accuracy and quality finish while machining complex parts. The innovative hardware and software platform for the new 8065 not only results in higher productivity but also greatly improves the part editing time, resulting from enhancements in operation and programming interface. And, thanks to it’s ultra fast micro processor, you are guaranteed to achieve substantial reduction in machining times.

Great improvements in Feedback Systems

Fagor Automation’s know-how, the analysis of the chain of value and the meticulous study of external contributions have resulted in a unique product that further strengthens Fagor Automation’s leadership in feedback systems for long and extra long measuring lengths (from 3 m to 60 m). EMO visitors will be able to see that these improvements make installation easier to install and drastically reduce routine maintenance time from 10% to higher values depending on the type of machine and encoder length.

Plus, Fagor Automation will show their full range of absolute encoders. The communication protocols implemented ensure encoder connectivity with the products of main CNC manufacturers. The absolute angular model offers a resolution of up to 27 bits with an accuracy of better than 1 arc second. Regarding the absolute linear encoders, Fagor Automation’s range includes the longest absolute linear encoder on the market; it may reach up to 40 meters while offering a resolution of up to 0.1 microns.
